PDFDocify Terms of Use

These terms apply to the use of the PDFDocify app by Borowski Consulting UG (haftungsbeschränkt), Franz-Paul-Str. 10a, 82290 Landsberied, Germany (“we”). Provider details are in the legal notice.

If you get the app from Apple’s App Store, Apple’s Standard End User License Agreement (EULA) also applies. Purchases are also subject to the terms of the respective store.

For free and without limits, you can scan documents, import photos, edit pages, and create, manage and share PDFs. Premium adds further tools, in particular text recognition (OCR), searchable PDFs, merging, compression, handwritten signatures, password protection, importing other PDFs and processing several documents at once. The app shows the current scope.

The app works on your device. Results such as text or edge recognition may contain errors; please check important documents yourself. The signature feature inserts a signature you draw into a PDF as an image; it is not a qualified electronic signature within the meaning of the eIDAS Regulation.

Premium is available as a monthly or yearly subscription and as a one-time purchase without a term (“Lifetime”). Prices and terms are shown in the app and in the store before you buy and include VAT.

The purchase is made through Apple’s App Store or Google Play, where you also pay. Subscriptions renew automatically for the chosen term unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the end of the current term. The renewal is charged to your store account within 24 hours before the end of the current term. You manage and cancel subscriptions in the settings of your Apple or Google account; after cancelling, Premium stays active until the end of the paid term.

The one-time purchase unlocks Premium without a time limit for as long as we offer the app and it runs on your device.

Purchases are tied to your store account. With “Restore purchases” you can use Premium on other devices with the same account. Purchases only apply to the platform they were made on (iOS or Android) and cannot be transferred.

We may provide discounted or free offers, for example through Apple or Google offer codes, including as part of partnerships with companies. The conditions stated with the respective offer apply. Codes are redeemed in the store or in the app, are not transferable unless the offer says otherwise, and cannot be exchanged for cash. When a discounted period ends, a subscription renews at the regular price unless you cancel it beforehand.

Purchases through the App Store or Google Play are subject to the withdrawal and refund rules of the respective store. Please request refunds directly from Apple or Google; we cannot refund payments made through the stores ourselves. Your statutory rights remain unaffected.

Your documents are stored only on your device and are not backed up by us. We have no access to them and cannot restore them if they are deleted or the device is lost. Please back up important documents yourself, e.g. by exporting them or using your device’s backup feature. You are responsible for the content you process with the app.

We are liable without limitation for intent and gross negligence, for injury to life, body or health and under the German Product Liability Act. In the event of a slightly negligent breach of an essential contractual obligation – one whose fulfilment makes the proper performance of the contract possible in the first place and on whose compliance you may regularly rely – our liability is limited to the foreseeable damage typical for the contract. Otherwise, liability for slight negligence is excluded.

We keep developing the app and may change, add or remove features where this is reasonable for you. We will not materially restrict paid features during a paid term. We will announce changes to these terms in the app or on this page.

German law applies. If you are a consumer, the mandatory consumer protection rules of the country where you habitually reside remain unaffected.

We are neither willing nor obliged to take part in dispute resolution proceedings before a consumer arbitration board.
